THE BARBERS

Bob Ohnstad, owner since 1993. Bob is a second generation barber since 1963. Now in his semi-retirement years, he works just Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

David Kappes is our young barber. He has been working at the craft since 1990, and he is our full-time guy, working Tuesday thru Saturday.

Ron Erickson is the senior member of our staff. Ron became a barber in the late 1950s. After working as an engineer, he came back to barbering and has worked at Bob’s shop for the last 6 years. Ron works on Saturdays

Helge Lamo is our most recent addition to the shop. Helge had his own shop, The Scandia Barber Shop on 35th and Cedar for almost 40 years. After a short retirement, we talked him into joining us. Helge works on Thursdays and Fridays.
